By continuing to browse and use the Whittery website, you are agreeing to comply with, and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use:

1. PRICING

  • 1a) Prices seen on the product page include VAT at the current rate and exclude delivery charges.

  • 1b) Whittery Ltd reserve the right to alter prices at any time.

  • 1c) If a pricing error occurs Whittery Ltd will contact you to offer a suitable alternative or issue a full refund.

2. PLACING AN ORDER

  • 2a) Orders can be placed online, or by telephone.

  • 2b) The full balance of orders is required to be paid at the point of purchase before items are dispatched.

  • 2c) If for any reason your ordered goods are unavailable, Whittery Ltd will contact you to offer a suitable alternative or issue a full refund.

  • 2d) Confirmation emails must be read and checked by the customer. Whittery Ltd cannot be held responsible if a mistake is made and the information on the order confirmation matches that of delivery.

  • 2e) Returning customer discounts are non-transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with in-store, online or telephone offers, reductions or sales.

3. PRODUCT INFORMATION

  • 3a) Product information of items sold by Whittery Ltd is accurate and complies with guidelines set by product suppliers and manufacturers.

  • 3b) Our furniture is not handmade by Whittery Ltd, the manufacturing process is carried out by the manufacturers of our products.

  • 3c) Some of our products come with a distressed and worn patina that is added at the point of manufacture to stylise items. This includes saw marks and strap marks. This is not a defect or fault and is not refundable or returnable for this reason alone.

  • 3d) Dimensions shown are to the nearest mm, measured to the widest points and are as quoted by the manufacturer of our products.

4. FAULTY GOODS

  • 4a) If any goods arrive damaged or defected please contact Whittery Ltd immediately, responsibility cannot be accepted after a 48 hour period.

  • 4b) Photographic evidence may be requested when reporting faulty goods.

5. CANCELLATIONS

  • 5a) Orders may be cancelled within 3 days of checkout via writing, email or telephone.

  • 5b) Cancellations outside of 3 days will be subject to a loss of deposit or 30% of the total sale amount.

 

6. RETURNS AND UNWANTED GOODS

  • 6a) Items must be returned in original packaging and fit for resale, within 14 days of purchasing.

  • 6b) Postage for non faulty or unwanted items is to be paid for by the customer. A trackable and insured service must be used and Whittery Ltd must be provided with a tracking number.

  • 6c) No collection service is offered by Whittery Ltd

  • 6d) We are unable to accept returns on items where our supplier of that item does not accept returns from Whittery. This applies with the only exception of if the goods are faulty through manufacturing processes. Items are sold with this 'no sale or return' policy. Please take this into account before making a purchase of a particular item.

7. DELIVERY

  • 7a) Whittery Ltd deliver to all mainland UK addresses

  • 7b) Smaller items will be sent out using a courier service to lower the cost of delivery.

  • 7c) Whittery Ltd aims to delivery within the estimated timeframe of 14 working days. This is from the date the order is placed or from date of approval.

  • 7d) Whittery Ltd offers no compensation for late deliveries due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • 7e) Whittery Ltd does not offer a furniture removal service, the space where you would like installation should be clear and accessible. No responsibility will be taken by Whittery Ltd in the unlikely event of damages on delivery.

  • 7f) If the allocated timeslot is not appropriate you should make Whittery Ltd aware immediately. Whittery  will re-arrange, however this could result in a delay in receiving your order.

  • 7g) Failed delivery caused by you will result in the forfeit of the cost of delivery. The same charge will be applicable to re-deliver your items.

 

8. LIABILITY

  • 8a) Whittery Ltd takes care to check the accuracy of the information given. However, we do not warrant that such information will be error free and the user acknowledges that information, products and services published may include inaccuracies and typological errors.

 

9. PRIVACY POLICY

  • 9.1) We only use the information we collect about you carefully, lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information we hold: If you have shopped with us we will hold your name, address, telephone number and email address. We will also hold the delivery address(es) for your orders and the password information associated with your account. We also maintain a record of your product selections. We will not disclose or pass on your details to any third party. We will use your email address to contact you to advise of any promotional offers or new product ranges. If you do not wish to be contacted please opt out or contact us.

 

Data Protection

  • The sole purpose of the site is to enable people to make purchases of products from Whittery Ltd over the Internet. Any personal information we collect from this website will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable laws.
